ICC Country Membership
ICC Country Membership is the highest level of affiliation with ICC and bears special offerings, rights and benefits. It is the primary venue to influence the association’s activities and priorities and directly benefit from these outputs.
- Special benefits
- Three population based categories (instead of formerly 5 categories, for details please see below)
- Active voting rights in General Assembly: up to 4 votes = 1 National Delegate + up to 3 Deputy NDs (1 Deputy ND in country category A, 2 in category B, and 3 in category C)
- Right to be elected National Delegate and to be nominated to become President, Governing Committee or Executive Committee Member
- Right to lead a working group or task force
- Right to become member in a working group or task force
- Yearly membership fees
- Discounts for low income countries (25% discounts for developing countries in cognisance of Per Capita GDP and HDI, based on the list of 2008). Qualifying countries for a discounted ICC country Membership fee can be found in the United Nation’s Human Development Index (HDI) list of 2008 as low and/or medium human development countries OR in the World Bank’s list of economies’ income as low-income, lower-middle-income economies, and upper-middle-income economies. Making use of the discounted fee reduces the number of votes in the General Assembly, however an upgrading to become a fully paying Country Member is possible at any time and thus securing full voting rights.
Yearly ICC Country Membership Fees (status 2010)
Based on population with three categories:
A = 0-10 million: € 2,950.-
B = 10-50 million: € 4,950.-
C = >50 million: € 6,950.-
All fees (status 2010) are in EURO and subject to the Austrian inflation index.
Optional: Discount for low income countries
Low income countries qualify for an optional 25% discount on ICC country Membership.
