He is also national expert in the CEN WG 8 (irradiation), WG 11 (GMO) and WG 12 of TC 275. In addition, he is member of the Scientific Advisory Panel of AACC (American Association of Cereal Chemists) and Chair of the AOAC International Technical Programming Council and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the AOAC Research Institute.
He acts as editor for the Journals: "Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods" and "Journal of Food Analytical Methods".
He is also member of the Scientific Organization Committee of the following conferences: Recent Advances in Food Analysis (RAFA, Prague, Cz), Rapid Methods Europe (RME, Noordweijk, NL), AOAC International (AOACI, Gaithersburg, U.S.A. and the European Commission initiative "Global GMO Conference" (GGMO, Ispra, IT). Dr. Popping of Eurofins CTC has a history of involvement in EC Framework Projects: MolSpecID, DNAIQ, TRACE, BIOCOP, MoniQA.
This combination of scientific and management skills gives Eurofins CTC an excellent position for the conferences, training and scientific projects at international level.
