FoRC ( has a post-doctoral fellowship in the Laboratory of Food Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology to develop the research plan "Functional analysis of the transcriptomic profile of banana fruits from a biodiversity surrounded plot" in the Research Axis 1 (Biological Systems in Food). 

The opportunity is open to newly qualified doctors (for no more than seven years) and a successful research track in fruit biochemistry and physiology, preferably with field experiments background, that will be carried out to obtain samples in plots surrounded or not by the Atlantic forest. Transcriptome analysis will be performed, comparatively, using RNA-seq technique. 

 PhD degree in Food Science; 
(b) Significant scientific production in indexed journals and conferences; 
(c) Fluency in English; 
(d) Motivation and ability to teamwork;
(e) Knowledge of fruit physiology and biochemistry.

(b) Curriculum Vitae (maximum of four pages) including academic background, a list with up to 10 most important and relevant publications and the link to MyResearch ID or ORCID;
(c) Copy of PhD certificate;
(d) Letters of recommendation (one or two).

The result of the selection process will be announced until July 2, 2015, by electronic means. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctorate fellowship support from FAPESP, amounting to R$ 6.143,40 per month for 24 months, provided exclusive dedication to the project and approval of research reports. The fellowship features a setup support for researchers who need to move to the city of São Paulo, Brazil, the institution's headquarters.
